Finance Assistant Getting Started
To go live with consumer credit promotions, we recommend creating a dedicated Finance page on your website (e.g., yoursite.co.uk/finance). This keeps everything compliant, transparent, and customer-friendly.
Follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Create a new Finance page
Add a page titled “Finance Options”, “Solar Finance”, “Renewable Energy Finance”, or similar (e.g., xyzsolar.com/finance/lender).
If you offer finance with multiple lenders, create a separate page for each lender. We recommend appending the lender name regardless of how many lenders you have right now, so you can easily expand your offers later on.
Make it easy to find: add a link in your main menu (e.g., under “Services” or as a top-level item) and consider a prominent “Finance Available” button/call-to-action on your homepage and across your website. If you plan to offer 0% finance, highlight this specifically.
Step 2: Add your FCA disclosure statement to the website footer
As an authorised firm, you must include your disclosure statement in the footer of every page (or at minimum on finance-related pages). Place this in the footer alongside your other legal links (privacy policy, terms, etc.).
If you plan to integrate FinMatch into 3rd party software apps (such as Easy PV, Heatpunk, Spruce or Open Solar), keep your disclosure statement to a maximum of 800 characters (including spaces). This ensures it displays correctly in 3rd party apps and quotes.
Contact support@finmatch.io is you need assistance with this step.
Step 3: Include your Finance FAQ (if you have one)
If you've prepared a Finance FAQ document or section, add it here as:
- A dedicated section on the page, or
- A clear link: “Read our Finance Benefits & Risks FAQs”. This helps answer common questions about eligibility, repayments, and how finance works with your installations.
Step 4: Embed FinMatch Finance Assistant
FinMatch Finance Assistant dynamically displays tailored finance offers, ensures FCA compliance, and is designed to embed seamlessly on your website.
To embed
- Copy the embed code and lender snippet from Integration Guide
- Paste it into your page (via HTML block, shortcode, or widget – works with WordPress, Squarespace, etc.).
- Position it prominently (e.g., mid-page or after your intro text).
- Test your new finance page on desktop and mobile to ensure it displays correctly.
- Contact support@finmatch.io if you need help.
Step 5: Add introductory text to explain your finance offers
We recommend welcoming copy at the top of the page to build trust and excitement. Here's a suggested template you can customise:

Step 6: How customers can get further help
Add a clear section at the bottom:
